Description
Features:
8x8 Infrared Thermal Sensor Array: The AMG8833 thermal imaging camera sensor is an 8x8 infrared thermal sensor array.
High Performance: When connected to your microcontroller, it will return a set of 64 separate infrared temperature readings via I2C.
It's like those of a fancy camera, but it's compact and simple, and easy to integrate. And offers higher performance than the previous AMG8831.
Features: The sensor only supports I2C and has a configurable interrupt pin that can be triggered when any single pixel is above or below the threshold you set.
Compatible With: We use this breakthrough code on for Arduino or compatible (sensors communicate via I2C).
On the Pi, with the image processing help of the SciPy python library, we can insert 8x8 meshes and get some very good results!
Temperature Measurement Range: The AMG8833 thermal imaging camera has a temperature measurement range of 0C to 80C (32F to 176F).
Measurement Accuracy: The accuracy is 2.5 C (4.5 F). It can detect humans from distances as far as 7 meters (23) feet.
With a maximum frame rate of 10 Hz, it is perfect for creating your own body detector or mini camera.
